Turkey’s HRC exports up 14.6 percent in H1

In June this year, Turkey's total hot rolled coil (HRC) exports increased by 0.8 percent year on year to 111,285 metric tons, up 98 percent compared to the previous month, according to the data provided by the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK). These exports had a value of $48.9 million, rising by 154.7 percent month on month and up 0.7 percent compared to the same month of the previous year.

In the first half of this year, Turkey's HRC exports amounted to 736,273 mt, up 14.6 percent, while the value of these exports decreased by 17.6 percent to $245.2 million, both compared to the same period of 2015.
 
In the first six months of the current year, Egypt ranked first among Turkey's HRC export destinations, with its HRC imports from Turkey amounting to 120,289 mt, followed by Italy which received 102,333 mt of HRC from Turkey in the given period.
