Turkey's HRC exports up 117 percent in January-October

In October this year, Turkey's total hot rolled coil (HRC) exports decreased by 24.34 percent year on year to 57,425 metric tons, while increasing by 36.06 percent compared to the previous month, according to the data provided by the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK). These exports had a value of $33.33 million, decreasing by 26.99 percent year on year and up by 37.25 percent compared to September.

On the other hand, in January-October this year, Turkey's HRC export volume more than doubled, rising by 116.93 percent year on year to 1.11 million mt.

In the first 10 months of this year, Turkey's HRC exports to Italy rose almost tripled, while the country's HRC exports to Portugal increased almost sevenfold, both compared to the corresponding period of 2012. In the meantime, Turkey's HRC exports to Spain almost tripled on year-on-year basis.
