According to the statistics provided by the Istanbul Mineral and Metals Exporters' Association (IMMIB), in October this year Turkey's total hot rolled flat steel exports amounted to 100,598 metric tons, decreasing by 21.92 percent year on year and up 32.58 percent compared to September this year. Meanwhile, the revenue generated by these exports totaled $79.98 million, falling by four percent compared to October 2010 and decreasing 37.13 percent from September this year.
In the January-October period, Turkey's total hot rolled flat steel exports amounted to 1.47 million metric tons, climbing by 185,38 percent compared to the January-October period of 2010.

On the other hand, in the given month, Turkey's cold rolled flat steel exports stood at 14,000 metric tons, decreasing by 44.89 percent year on year and up 32.19 percent compared to September this year, while the total revenue of these exports amounted to $13.16 million, decreasing by 31.75 percent as compared to October 2010 and up 33.65 percent compared to the previous month.
Meanwhile, in the first 10 months of the year Turkey's cold rolled flat steel exports stood at 98,732 metric tons, decreasing by 25.91 percent compared to the same period last year.
