In August this year, Turkey's cold rolled coil (CRC) imports decreased 54.2 percent year on year to 51,915 mt, according to the data provided by the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK). The value of these imports was $35.1 million, down 42.8 percent year on year.
In the first eight months of the current year, Turkey's CRC imports amounted to 560,822 mt, up 0.16 percent, while the value of these imports increased by 17.1 percent to $374.54 million, both year on year.
In the given period, Russia ranked first among Turkey's CRC import sources, supplying 243,790 mt, down 10.07 percent year on year. Meanwhile, in the given period, Turkey's CRC imports from China totaled 83,633 mt.
