Turkey’s CRC imports fall 6.3 percent in January-October

In October this year, Turkey's cold rolled coil (CRC) imports totaled 46,683 metric tons, falling by 19.8 percent compared to the same month of 2014 and down 1.32 percent month on month, according to the data provided by the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK). The value of these imports was $23.2 million, decreasing by 41.4 percent year on year and down 53.8 percent compared to the previous month.
 

In the January-October period, Turkey's cold rolled coil imports declined by 6.3 percent to 566,125 mt, while the value of these imports amounted to $314.9 million, falling by 23.8 percent, both year on year.
 
In the January-October period this year, Russia ranked first among Turkey's CRC import sources, supplying 247,024 metric tons, down 4.5 percent year on year. Meanwhile, in the given period, Turkey's CRC imports from Ukraine totaled 96,636 metric tons, down 18.1 percent compared to the January-October period of 2014.
