In October this year, Turkey's cold rolled coil (CRC) imports increased by 1.6 percent month on month to 54,687 mt, down 8.7 percent year on year, according to the data provided by the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK). The value of these imports was $32.77 million, increasing by 2.6 percent compared to September and down 16.7 percent year on year.
Meanwhile, in the first ten months of this year, Turkey's CRC imports amounted to 556,416 metric tons, down 20.1 percent year on year, while the revenue generated by these imports totaled $338.24 million, decreasing by 27 percent compared to same period of 2018.
In the January- October period, Russia ranked first among Turkey's CRC import sources, supplying 285,255 mt, down 15.53 percent year on year. Meanwhile, in the given period, Turkey's CRC imports from Romania totaled 58,624 mt.
