In March this year, Turkey's cold rolled coil (CRC) imports totaled 57,818 metric tons, decreasing by 14.3 percent compared to the same month of 2014, according to the data provided by the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK). The value of these imports was $34.13 million, decreasing by 25.9 percent year on year.
In the January-March period, Turkey's cold rolled coil imports decreased by 15.2 percent to 165,034 mt, while the value of these imports amounted to $103.22 million, falling 22.8 percent, both year on year.
In the January-March period this year, Russia ranked first among Turkey's CRC import sources, supplying 59,971 metric tons, down 13.79 percent year on year. Meanwhile, in the given period, Turkey's CRC imports from Ukraine totaled 26,059 metric tons, down 39.01 percent compared to January-March 2014.
