Turkish steelmaker Colakoglu Metalurji has announced that it will start trial production in mid-June this year at its new hot strip mill located in Dilovasi, Kocaeli, northwest Turkey.
The company said that, following market research conducted since January this year, Colakoglu began to accept orders for trial production at the facility.
Colakoglu's new hot strip mill can produce steel sheets within a thickness range of 1.2-25.4 mm and 800-1,650 mm in width, with an annual capacity of three million metric tons.
Founded in 1945, Colakoglu currently produces billets, slabs, blooms and rebars.
