HKS Metals, the Dutch subsidiary of the German scrap supplier TSR Recycling GmbH & Co. KG (TSR), has announced that it has signed an agreement with another Dutch scrap supplier Van Dalen Group to merge both companies. Final approval is yet to be obtained for the merger.

Rolf van Dalen, current owner of Van Dalen Group, who has more than 30 years experience in the scrap industry, will join the management of HKS Metals as soon as the agreement is final.

According to HKS Metals’ statement, the companies are convinced that they can further improve their service and efficiency. This will benefit both the customers and the suppliers as well as the employees of HKS and Van Dalen. Both HKS Metals and Rolf van Dalen are looking forward to future cooperation and the further expansion of the company, the statement said.

TSR has 150 metal recycling yards in Europe, six of which are located in the Netherlands and belong to HKS Metals. Van Dalen Group was founded more than 70 years ago and currently has metal recycling sites in the Netherlands, Belgium and England.
