Trierer Stahlwerk restarts production at rolling mill

According to the recent reports from the market, Germany's Trierer Stahlwerk, formerly known as Moselstahlwerk, restarted production at its rolling mill on September 1, 2003. Furthermore, the company has restarted production at its steelmaking plant at the end of June, after the installation of new billet caster. Since September 2002, around € 32 million have been invested to the plant to renovate the billet caster. Currently, the caster has an annual capacity of 350'000 tons. Also, Italian steel equipment maker Danieli has been responsible for improving the plant's efficiency and performance.
