TMK’s Tagmet starts production of tubes of 73 mm diameter

The Russian pipe producer TMK has announced that its subsidiary Tagmet has started the industrial output of tubes of 73 mm diameter at its new premium quality finishing (PQF) seamless tube rolling mill.

Accordingly, in April 2009 Tagmet produced about 800 mt of tubes of 73 mm diameter and of 5.5 mm wall thickness. The tubes were delivered to TMK's Kazakhstan-based subsidiary Kaztrubprom for final processing, after which they will be shipped to the customer.

Tagmet's new PQF seamless tube rolling mill has an annual production capacity of 600,000 mt of 73 mm to 273 mm outside diameter drill, casing, oil pipes and tubes with wall thicknesses of 5-25 mm.
