Kazakhstan-based company Paritet-PV has commissioned a new plant for the production of longitudinal pipes in the northeastern Kazakh province of Pavlodar, with a capacity of 100,000 mt of pipes per year. The investments in the project amounted to Tenge 1.8 billion (approx. $12 million).

The new plant is to produce pipes of 15-76 mm and 89-219 mm diameter, with wall thickness up to 8 mm. In addition, Paritet-PV plans to install at the plant a new line for the production of pipes of 530 mm diameter and with anticorrosive coating and thermal insulation. The pipes will be used mainly by Kazakhstan's housing and communal services.

Kazakhstan's annual pipe imports amount to about 300,000 mt.
