TISCO plans to build a pellet plant

Indian steel producer Tata Iron and Steel Corp (TISCO) is reportedly planning to establish a pellet plant with an investment of Rupees 6 billion ($131 million). The plant, which will have a capacity of 4 million tons, will be established either in India or Bangladesh. As reported by SteelOrbis last week, TISCO signed an agreement with Bangladeshi government to set up steel plant and power plant in the country with an investment of $2 billion. The planned pellet plant will meet the requirements of the project in Bangladesh. The location of the plant has not been clarified yet. The pellet plant is a part of TISCO's strategy to become a self-sufficient integrated steel plant.
