ThyssenKrupp to close its electrical steel plant in Terni

According to recent news in the market, German steel producer ThyssenKrupp AG is planning to close its electrical steel plant in Terni, Italy by September 2005 due to the losses the unit reported. The company officials stated that the 250 employees of the unit will be transferred to the stainless steel plant of the company, ThyssenKrupp Acciai Speciali Terni (AST). Therefore no one will be dismissed.
