ThyssenKrupp Nirosta commences new cold strip line

One of the world's major stainless steel strip and sheet producer ThyssenKrupp Nirosta GmbH, launched production in its new cold strip line. Investment completed two months earlier than scheduled, costed total €56 million. The new cold strip line which has an annealing, pickling, skin-pass rolling equipment produces cold strips in thicknesses between 0.2-2 mm and in width between 600-1.380 mm. It is forecasted that this new line will expand ThyssenKrupp Nirosta's cold strip capacity to approximately 120'000 tons per annum.
