Ternium Siderar orders coil conveying system for its hot rolling mill

Germany-based logistics and service solutions provider SMS Logistiksysteme, a unit of the German plantmaker SMS Siemag, will provide the entire coil conveying system of the hot rolling mill of Argentina-based steelmaker Ternium Siderar. This is the first major direct order SMS received from Argentina.
 
SMS Logistiksysteme will supply a pallet transport system including strapping machines, coil weighing machines and semi-automatic inspection line. The coil transport system will be 330 meters long and it can be extended later. Before being shipped to Argentina, the equipment will be fully assembled and tested.
