Tenova to revamp ORI Martin’s EAF in Brescia

Italy-based Tenova, a Techint Group company specialized in innovative solutions for the metals and mining industries, has announced that it will revamp Italy-based special long steelmaker ORI Martin’s electric arc furnace at Brescia plant.

The furnace with Consteel® technology supplied by Tenova to ORI Martin in 1998 is scheduled for start-up in June 2024.

With the revamp of the furnace, ORI Martin will finalize the revamping of its plant, optimizing consumption and process for the safe production of steel with minimal environmental impact. The revamped plant will be ready for the installation of Tenova’s Consteerrer® process technology which will increase process efficiency.
