Tata Steel in talks with a Thai company

Indian private steel producer Tata Steel is reportedly in acquisition talks with a Thai steel producer. Sources report that the talks are at an initial stage yet; however the acquisition will be clarified in a month's time. As reported by SteelOrbis early this month, Tata Steel announced plans to acquire plants abroad under the framework of its expansion plan. Tata Steel, which currently produces 5 million tons of steel products annually, aims to increase its steel production to more than 20 million tons over the next 10-12 years.
