Chinese steelmaker Hebei Iron and Steel Group has announced that its subsidiary Tangshan Iron and Steel Group Co. (Tangsteel) has successfully carried out large-scale trial production of Q345GJDZ15 high-performance structural steel for use in high-rise buildings, in thicknesses of 50 mm and 55 mm.
The product in question has met all requirements in terms of chemical composition, physical properties and surface quality. In the current market, Q345GJDZ15 steel plate costs RMB 500/mt ($78.98/mt) higher than ordinary steel plate.
