Tangshan sets HR sheet production record in May
Hebei-based Tangshan Iron & Steel Group produced 276'630 tons of HR sheets in May, overtaking the previous HR sheet monthly production record (263'000 tons) set by Baotou Iron & Steel Group in March 2005. Tangshan was able to capture the record due in part to capacity upgrades that the company made last August. Tangshan's present rolling capacity is 2.5 million tons per annum.
