Hebei Province-based Chinese steelmaker Tangshan Iron and Steel has announced that it has succeeded in developing ultra-thick SGH340 hot dip galvanized (HDG) products, with thicknesses of 4.0 mm and above. According to Tangshan Steel, this is the first time this product has been produced in China.
The product in question has good machining properties and corrosion resistance, and is widely used in sectors such as construction and automotive.
