Tangshan imposes emergency measures to tackle heavy air pollution

The municipal government of Tangshan in China’s Hebei Province has issued emergency emissions reduction measures to tackle heavy air pollution to be effective from 0:00 o’clock on May 11 to 12:00 o’clock on May 14.

On May 11, May 12 and during the first 12 hours of May 14 sintering machines in the Lubei, Fengnan, Fengrun, Guye, Kaiping and Luanxian districts in Tangshan will halt production completely, while on May 13 they will operate at 50 percent production capacity. Meanwhile, in other districts in Tangshan, sintering machines will operate at 50 percent production capacity from 0:00 o’clock on May 11 to 12:00 o’clock on May 14.
