Talley Metals hikes stainless steel prices

Talley Metals, a subsidiary of Carpenter Technology has recently announced that it will increase all grades of stainless steel round bars, hexagons and squares by 10% effective for shipments as of October 1, 2004. It is stated that the prices have been increased due to strong demand for the subject products and the increase in manufacturing costs. No change in raw material surcharges has been announced.
