Taiwan's iron and steel export value rises 20.5 percent in Jan-Oct

In October this year, the value of Taiwan's iron and steel exports increased by 3.2 percent year on year to $1.4 billion, according to the preliminary statistics issued by Taiwan's Ministry of Finance. In the given month, the country's iron and steel import value totaled $694 million, up 1.2 percent year on year. 

In the January-October period of the current year, the value of Taiwan's iron and steel exports rose 20.5 percent to $14.21 billion, while the value of the country's imports of iron and steel totaled $7.63 billion, increasing by 19.8 percent, both on year-on year basis.
