Taiwan’s basic metal export orders down 6.4 percent in June

According to the statistics released by the Taiwan Ministry of Economic Affairs, in June this year Taiwan's basic metal and basic metal product export orders amounted to $2.13 billion, down 7.6 percent compared to the previous month and falling 6.4 percent compared to June 2012. The country's basic metal and basic metal product export orders were up 2.5 percent and down nine percent in May and April respectively, both on year-on-year basis.
 
The country's basic metal and basic metal product export orders in the first six months of the current year amounted to a value of $13.4 billion, falling by 7.9 percent compared to the same period of 2012.
