On October 9, Central China's Shanxi Province-based Taigang Stainless Steel Co., Ltd successfully developed 430 series stainless steel, marking a breakthrough by the company in the development of 400 series stainless. Taigang Steel thus becomes one of the few producers in China to have mastered the requisite technology.

430 series stainless steel is low-nickel ferritic stainless steel which has high corrosion resistance and is immune to fluctuations in nickel prices.
