Syria’s Hadid Hama produces 41,977 mt rebar in January-September

Syria-based steelmaker General Company of Iron & Steel Products (Hadid Hama) produced 41,977 metric tons of high and medium tensile rebar in the first nine months of 2010, worth SYP 1.14 billion ($24.7 million), according to Syria's official news agency Syrian Arab News Agency.

According to the report, Hadid Hamah's general manager Badee' Shannan said that the company also produced 38,949 metric tons of steel billets during the January-September period of 2010, in addition to 120,000 metric tons of forged steel. The company's rebar sales in the period in question amounted to 37,000 metric tons.
