SUEK produces 68.6 million mt of coal in Jan-Sept

Siberian Coal Energy Company (SUEK), Russia's largest coal producing corporation, has announced that it produced 68.6 million mt of coal in the January-September period this year, compared to 68.9 million mt in the same period last year.

In the first nine months this year, SUEK's sales volume declined by one percent year on year to 65.5 million mt of coal. Its coal sales to the international market rose by nine percent year on year to 33.8 million mt. Its major international markets are the UK, China, South Korea, Japan, the Netherlands, Taiwan and Germany.

31.7 million mt of coal was sold to consumers in Russia in the given period, with 24.9 million mt of this volume shipped to electric power-generating facilities.
