Strong rise in China's auto imports in November 2007

According to the Chinese customs authorities, the country's automotive imports for November 2007 registered a remarkable jump compared with the previous month.

In November, China's automotive imports totaled $2.654 billion in value, up 37.48 percent month on month and up 39.90 percent year on year. Meanwhile, the value of automotive exports reached $4.195 billion, up 17.19 percent month on month and up 61.68 percent year on year.

From January to November inclusive, China's total automotive trade volume came to $59.781 billion in value, with imports rising 22.01 percent to $23.14 billion and exports reaching $36.641 billion, up 43.6 percent year on year.
