The Montana Community Development Corporation reported Thursday that Coolidge, Arizona-based steel fabricator Stinger Welding will receive $17 million for construction on its previously stalled Libby, Montana fabrication plant. The new facility will produce fabricated steel products for Northwest bridge infrastructure projects.

Stinger Welding began construction of the Libby location in 2009, but a lack of financing caused construction to be delayed. Stinger Welding expects to have the facility competed in August with production beginning this fall.
