Spain’s crude steel output in June down 4.2 percent over May

According to the data provided by the Spanish steel producers' association Unesid, Spain's crude steel output in June amounted to 1.49 million mt, increasing by 4.5 percent year on year, but down 4.2 percent as compared to May this year.
 
Meanwhile, in the second quarter of 2011 growed by 2.2 percent over the previous quarter and amounted on average 1.49 million mt per month while in the first half of 2011 Spain's crude steel production which amounts 8.83 million mt, decreased by 1.4 percent, as compared to the same period of 2010. Unesid showed the inventory building activities which marks the beginning of the last year for a reason of the decrease in the first half.
