SouthGobi Resources delivers coking coal to China

Canadian coal production and development company SouthGobi Resources Ltd (SouthGobi) has announced that it has completed its first direct delivery coal sale from its Ovoot Tolgoi coal mine in southern Mongolia to Chinese Risun Mining Co. Ltd (Risun).

The first delivery of the coking coal to Risun was under a 500,000 mt sales contract for 2011. The delivery was made to to Ceke, China.

The company pointed out that all previous coal sales by SouthGobi were mine-gate sales, in which customers took delivery and ownership of the coal at the Ovoot Tolgoi mine site and made their own arrangements to transport the coal to China.
