South Korean cold rolled steel imports up 61.4 percent in 2011

South Korea's cold rolled (CR) steel imports totaled 1.53 million mt in 2011, up 61.4 percent year on year, according to the Korea Iron and Steel Association (KISA).

In the given year, South Korea's imports of cold rolled steel from China accounted for 57.9 percent of its total cold rolled steel import volume. The cold rolled import volume from China included 95,742 mt of pre-painted galvanized iron (PPGI) products, up 93.9 percent year on year.
