South Africa’s RBCT sees decline in coal exports for August

South Africa-based Richards Bay Coal Terminal (RBCT), one of the world's largest coal handling ports, has announced that it exported 5.88 million mt of coal in August, down 6.16 percent from 6.27 million mt in July and down 15.8 percent year on year.

Coal exports from the terminal in the first eight months of the year amounted to 44.2 million mt, increasing by 13.86 percent compared to the corresponding period of the previous year. Stocks at the terminal stood at 3.22 million mt at the end of August.
