South African scrap exports in 2018

According to provisional customs data, South Africa exported 458,548 mt of ferrous scrap in 2018.

South Africa exported 231,847 mt (51 percent) to India, 115,733 mt (25 percent) to Pakistan, 73,314 mt (16 percent) to Bangladesh, 14,190 mt (3 percent) to Indonesia, 8,865 mt (2 percent) to Kenya, 6,630 mt (1 percent) to UAE, and 7,969 mt (2 percent) to other destinations.
