SMS Group to supply compact pellet plant to RPCL Bengaluru in India

According to Germany-based plantmaker SMS group, India’s Resources Pellets Concentrates Pvt. Ltd. (RPCL) Bengaluru, a joint venture between BKG Mining Private Limited and Fomento Resources Pvt. Ltd., has placed an order for a compact pellet plant with an annual capacity of two million mt to be installed in Karnataka, India.

SMS Group stated that the full project delivery is scheduled to be completed within 15 months. The scope includes not only core plant equipment but also integrated digital systems designed to support operational performance.

According to SMS Group, the integrated digital solution suite is expected to enable reduced human intervention, more stable production processes and improved energy efficiency. The plantmaker indicated that RPCL’s investment in this technology aligns with its objective of strengthening its resource base and supporting long-term development in mining regions.
