Shougang Jingtang United Iron & Steel starts construction of new picking line

Hebei Province-based Chinese steelmaker Shougang Jingtang United Iron and Steel Co. Ltd has announced that it has held a ceremony to mark the start of construction work on the new pickling line at its No. 3 cold rolled mill. At the ceremony, Shougang Jingtang United Iron and Steel signed contracts with representatives from China Shougang International Trade and Engineering Corporation, Japan-based Mitsubishi-Hitachi Metals Machinery and Germany-based Miebach Company Group relating to the construction of the pickling line.
 
The pickling line has a designed output capacity of 0.8 million mt per year. It will be able to produce products in widths of 700-1,280 mm, with thicknesses as low as 0.15 mm.
