Shandong Province-based Hengji Steel Co. has announced that it has commissioned its new coating facilities which have an annual production capacity of 500,000 mt, including 300,000 mt of hot dip galvanized (HDG) and 200,000 mt of pre-painted galvanized iron (PPGI).
Construction of the facilities started in February 2011, while the total investment amounted to RMB 2.6 billion ($412 million). With the new facilities, Hengji Steel will have an annual production capacity of 3 million mt and an annual sales revenue of RMB 20 billion ($3.14 billion).
