Shougang Jingtang to build HDG auto sheet production line

Beijing-based Chinese steelmaker Shougang Iron and Steel Co. (Shougang) has announced that its subsidiary Hebei Province-based steel producer Shougang Jingtang United Iron and Steel Co. (Jingtang Steel) has decided to construct a high-strength hot dip galvanized (HDG) automobile sheet production line at its current existing plant, with a total investment of RMB 1.304 billion ($0.21 billion). The new facility will begin production before December 2019. In the first year of its operation, the capacity utilization rate of the production line will be 80 percent, while in the second year it will operate at its designed annual production capacity of 360,000 mt of hot galvanized automobile sheet.
