Shougang Hierro Peru sees net profit surge in Q2 and H1

Peruvian iron ore producer Shougang Hierro Peru saw its net profit for both Q2 and H1 surge, the company said. Net profit in Q2 rose to PEN 304.4 million ($90 million), from PEN 35.3 million ($10.4 million). Net profit in H1 surged 237.1 percent, year-on-year, to PEN 487.3 million ($144.2 million).

Net revenues in Q2 grew 107.6 percent, year-on-year, to PEN 628 million ($185.8 million).

Gross profit in Q2 totaled PEN 388.2 million ($114.8 million), up from PEN 123.7 million ($36.6 million) in the same quarter of the year prior.
