On August 20, Guangdong Province-based Shaoguan Steel hiked its ex-factory prices for longs.
Rebar prices increased RMB 30/mt ($4/mt). As a result, the price of 18-25 mm diameter HRB 335 rebar is now at RMB 3,860/mt ($509/mt).
Wire rod prices went up RMB 30/mt ($4/mt). Thus, the price of 6.5 mm diameter Q235 high speed wire rod is at RMB 3,850/mt ($507/mt).
The above prices include 17 percent VAT and are effective as of August 20, 2007.
