Shanxi Province,China-based coking plant Shanxi Coking Co., Ltd. has stated that coking coal has been in short supply, bolstering coal prices and providing solid support for coke prices from the cost side, while, amid steelmakers’ increasing production capacity utilization rates, coke prices are expected to increase. Moreover, if demand for finished steel from downstream users improves, coking plants will be more willing to produce, which will improve their profitability.
