The Russian steelmaker Severstal has announced that due to slower demand for steel products resulting from recent changes in global economic conditions, the company has decided to revise its output plans at all its production facilities.

Accordingly, Severstal will reduce its production at its Russia-based Cherepovets plant by around 25 percent, while implementing an approximate 30 percent cut in production at its plants in the US and Italy
