Sergei Kuznetsov, Chief Executive Officer, Severstal North America, noted, "This is an exciting time for employees and customers of Severstal North America. The current expansion will enhance our already outstanding reliability, flexibility and cost-efficiency, and will benefit our customers, as well as the local community by creating new jobs. We are thankful for everyone's contributions to the Phase 2 program."

Construction of the Push-Pull Pickle line and the second Hot-Dip Galvanizing Line remains on schedule with launches planned for September and October of this year.
