In 2013, Russia-based Seversky Tube Works, a subsidiary of the largest Russian pipe company TMK Group, plans to launch its ‘fine quality mill' (FQM), as a part of its comprehensive reconstruction and production development program up to 2014.
The modernization of tube production at Seversky Tube Works will allow reduction of production costs, expansion of product range, increased production of high-technology oil and gas products and improved quality. In order to achieve these targets, by 2013 Seversky Tube Works will launch a new line for the production of seamless pipes with the continuous rolling FQM plant to be supplied by Danieli. The new continuous mill with a capacity of 600 mt per year will produce hot rolled seamless pipes with diameters of 168-339 mm and wall thickness of 6.4-40.0 mm.
