Serbian government disclaims banks comsortium requests

Latest industry reports reveal that, Serbian government has disclaimed the banks consortium requests to find new investors. Furthermore, the commercial court and bankruptcy administrator are responsible of Sartid's sale since its bankruptcy. Therefore, Serbia has no authority to find new investors. However, the international banks still insist on their claims and put pressure on the Serbian government and courts. In addition, Serbia has made an announcement that before 2002, no other companies, except US Steel, has shown interest to Sartid's sale. The delay in conclusion of the sale is only related to the bankruptcy process and has nothing to do with the claims of the banks consortium.
