SeAH Special Steel has recently launched peeled bar production at its Chungju No. 2 Plant after finishing the trial runs at the beginning of December. Using black round bars produced by SeAH Besteel, the company is producing peeled bars with diameters ranging between 30-130 mm.

SeAH Special Steel's Chungju Plant has also introduced two units of cold- drawing machines with annual production capacity of 80,000-90,000 mt each. The company is operating a total 12 units of cold-drawing machines including ten units at its Pohang Plant.

Meanwhile, the company started up a drawing bench (bar-to-bar facilities) in July this year, which is capable of producing 30,000 mt of round bars with diameters ranging between 25-80 mm per year.
