Scrap processor EMR acquires US company assets

The British scrap processor European Metal Recycling (EMR), with an 8 million ton annual processing at its sites in the UK, Germany and the Netherlands, is reported to have acquired 14.5% of the US scrap processor Metal Management Inc. (MMI). The future plans of EMR remain unclarified for the moment, however the company officials emphasize their acquisitive approach, in close evaluation of every potential growth opportunity.
