Minister of State for Finance of the Bahamas, Zhivargo Laing, has stated that the country's ban on exports of scrap metal, which had been due to expire this week, will instead be extended, as reported by the local Tribune newspaper.
The ban in question entered into force three months ago. Mr. Laing did not state how long the ban would remain in place but said that details would be announced during the current week.
