Scrap imports at port of Zhangjiagang in China up 74 percent in H1

According to the Entry-Exit Inspection and Quarantine Bureau of the port of Zhangjiagang in the eastern Chinese province of Jiangsu, in the January-July period of the current year scrap imports via Zhangjiagang port reached 1.5 million mt, showing a year-on-year increase of 74 percent.
 
In May, June and July this year, scrap imports via Zhangjiagang port respectively amounted to 186,000 mt, 246,000 mt and 345,000 mt.
